Adult D&D Group Leader

Matt

Matt (he/they) has Dungeon Mastered every edition of D&D at least once over the last 25 years. As a Dungeon Master, Matt believes that D&D is a storytelling medium first and a game second - but that the story works best when it comes from the player characters' motivations & backstory, & his job is to enable & support players to explore what makes their characters fun.  Just because a DM is in charge of making monsters attack & crafting sincere challenges, doesn't mean the DM & players are on opposite sides.

After studying classical studies in college, Matt became interested in making campaign worlds more queer-inclusive, like the real-world mythologies that helped inspire the game.  Matt especially enjoys crafting believable worlds that ring true with real-world history, and which involve high magic and a sense of wonder.

He started studying disability rights and accessibility a decade ago when he and an autistic cousin were both working as community organizers, and has been passionate about the work ever since.

Matt identifies as genderchaotic and pansexual, and has been diagnosed as having both attention deficit disorder and generalized anxiety disorder.
